How Are you Handling the COVID Vaccine?

Please join SISHRM's new Blog in this Discussion on How Your Company may be handling the COVID Vaccine.

SHRM recently released the "Who Should be Vaccinated?" article that discusses the need to consider an employee's religious or disability accomodation for the vaccine.  SHRM also indicated that HR should base their vaccine decisions on

  • Employer's business,
  • Nature of the Job,
  • How Closely the Employees Work Together
  • How much exposure they have to customers and the public
  • Whether they have exposure to food or consumables

 

Are you requiring the vaccine from your employees? Encouraging it or maybe even staying Neutral?

    Another challenge with all of this has been HIPPA. When considering who should be vaccinated, I'd make it voluntary and see how the response is.

    We're not requiring the vaccination, but are encouraging folks to get it.

    Since we are a medical practice we already had our first vaccination and some have had their second.
